Makes sense. We are broke and the entitlement programs are unsustainable. The perfectly logical thing to do is to spend an extra Trillion dollars (or three) to sdave us from bankruptcy. Not only is this a terrible fear based sales tactic, it is so illogical that Spock's head is going to explode.
Who in thier right mind thinks that the Government program will be deficit neutral? Not the CBO. Who in thier right mind thinks that we can "bend the curve" to provide healthcare subsidies to millions of people without it costing the government more moeny? The Democratic Congress and the Obama Adminsitration may fool themsleves and some of the American people, but they are not fooling me.

I am scared to death about the reckless fiscal policies and the Government attempts to take over and control every aspect of the economy and our lives. If Obama thinks this is the change people wanted when they elected him, he is mistaken. Polls indictae that America is not confortable with the direction he is taking us and he is misreading his "mandate".

Today Al Gore tried to downplay ClimateGate by saying it was just a few 10 year old e-mails. Mr. Gore is lying. The e-mails are as recent as November of this year. And in addition to the e-mails that show “scientists” conspiring to “hide the decline”, apply “Mikes’ Nature trick”, and ostracize any disparate viewpoint, there is additional evidence in the leaked data that actually exposes the corruption in the statistical data computations relied on by the United Nations and the EPA.

Anyone who says the science is settled is not being honest with themselves or you. Anyone who is prepared to decimate an economy because of the dangers of global warming needs to put the brakes on and slow down a bit. Double Down on Record Debt
Spent more last year than ever. On track to spend even more this year. The Obama / Pelosi / Reid machine is spending the economy to oblivion. Reuters looks at the latest CBO report:
WASHINGTON, Dec 4 (Reuters) - The U.S. government racked up a gaping shortfall in the first two months of this fiscal year after posting a record budget deficit last year, congressional analysts said on Friday.
In October and November, the government spent $292 billion more than it took in, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said.
That was even worse than the same period last year, when the government was on its way to posting a record $1.4 trillion deficit for the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30.
I am wondering what will happen when it all collapses. I sincerely think the United States of America is in peril. When Healthcare and Cap and Tax are added we will be beyond the tipping point.

Today is the day that the idea of Google died for me
Google has pissed me off recently with their liberal agenda. I have noticed they hide results of news items that are not in line with their political ideology (ClimateGate). I also have noticed that it pains them to celebrate American historical events and traditions. For example, today is Pearl Harbor day and there is no mention of it on Google. (My new search engine Bing, by comparison, put up a nice picture of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial.)
But here is a real kicker that Google CEO Eric Schmidt laid on the world:
"If you have something that you don't want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.”

That one there is a deal breaker for me. I am sad because I thought Google revolutionized search and I also was a huge fan of their Maps and Earth technology. At this point, I will wean myself off of any Google service and product that I can manage, which sucks because I was all in on Google and I use them for many things including email and blogging. But if the CEO has that opinion about privacy then he does not understand the US Constitution and fundamental American principals.
