New name for a psychedelic Jam Band

Doom and Gloom

Dick Morris says it  well:

Why does Obama preach gloom and doom? Because he is so anxious to cram through every last spending bill, tax increase on the so-called rich, new government regulation, and expansion of healthcare entitlement that he must preserve the atmosphere of crisis as a political necessity. Only by keeping us in a state of panic can he induce us to vote for trillion-dollar deficits and spending packages that send our national debt soaring.

So, having inherited a recession, his words are creating a depression. He entered office amid a disaster and he is transforming it into a catastrophe, all to pass every last bit of government spending and move us a bit further to the left before his political capital dwindles.

Thomas Jefferson also said it well:

Never spend your money before you have it.

The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers.

The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.

Urine Test

Urine Test -- This was written by a construction worker in Fort McMurray .

I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes, and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to earn that pay check, I work on a rig site for a Fort McMurray construction project. At any time I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem. HOWEVER, what I do have a problem with is the distribution of my
taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Understand - I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sit on their butt, drink beer and smoke
dope. Could you imagine how much money this country would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

No Kidding

Former Guns N’ Roses bassist and current Velvet Revolver rocker Duff McKagan will continue his journalistic career through a new gig as a financial columnist for Playboy.

After quitting Guns N’ Roses in 1998, McKagan invested his royalties from Guns N’ Roses into Microsoft and Starbucks. His interest in finance led him to obtain a degree in the field from the Albers School of Business at Seattle University.
