Letter to my Congressman about Health Care Bill

Congressman McNerney,

 

I have downloaded and am currently trying to read and understand HR. 3200.  I believe it is imperative that you also fully understand this legislation before you put your name to it. 

 

Real reform will come from a careful deliberative legislative process.  Not from a trumped up panic and fear that causes Congress to abandon rational action just for the sake of change.

 

Several provisions in this bill are particularly alarming.

 

I currently participate in a Health Savings Account with a high deductable family plan.  My HSA plan has saved me thousands in premiums and has encouraged me to be responsible and accountable with my healthcare consumption.  By my reading, HSA plans will be illegal after the passage of this bill.  Why eliminate and option that works for me and my family?

 

I am also very concerned with privacy issues relating to the bill.  I see provisions that allow the government to access my financial records in real time and provisions that require the government help decide end of life issues and rationing of services.  Is this really the role that American's want for their government?

 

I believe private market solutions are the only way to enact sustainable reform.  Creating a huge bureaucracy and a massive new entitlement plan will not result in better care or cost savings.  It will be one more program that burdens my children with debt and a future of diminished opportunities.

 

At the end of the day government programs are wasteful and inefficient as compared to private market based solutions.

This is an unverified analysis of the healthcare bill in the house.  I personally haven't read the bill, but then again, neither have our congressman or senators.  What have we come to when we are ready to "change" 1/7 of our national economy into something that nobody really comprehends.   Real reform comes after careful deliberation and a full legislative process.  What is sought here is a revolution.

Following  the mad recommendations of Peter Singer made in NYTime's Sunday
magazine, it  pays to take a look at what is actually in the healthcare
bill.
It's  worse than you can possibly imagine. Somehow, it manages to be Singer
on  steroids. Who wrote this bill. It has Singer's footprints all over  it.

a  community-based org. Like ACORN?
PG  489 Sec 1308 The Gov't will cover Marriage & Family therapy. Which
means  they will insert Gov't into your marriage

creating,  rationing those svcs

All Americans should really read this, that is if you have the
nerve and  don't have your heads in the sand. The "State Run Media"

So anytime someone tells you how great Iran is or how Islam is the religion of peace, keep this treatment of women and dissenters in mind.  The liberals in United States take liberty and freedom for granted.  Rather than paint the US as a oppressive, bigoted, place of intolerance, the focus should be on the treatment of women and minorities in these backward lands.  We are 500 years more advanced than these idiots that want to take us down.

Part of me thinks this is stupid and won’t catch on.  Most of that is because doing transactions on the BD player has been a lame experience so far (usually involving a computer).  I am curious to see if they try to sell fashion items (chicks) or electronic gadgets (dudes).  So far, BD has been dominated by young males.
