Is this the Guy?

Is this the stong conservative leader I am looking for? I heard him speaking about immigration and he potentially could have my support. I think he is definately a good communicator, which makes him seem like a genius compared to Georgie.

We will see but there is a strong buzz starting to build about this guy. He may be what Regan conservatives are looking for.

Stand up for conservative principles

Where are the true conservatives? We need to save this country now.

The democrats are going to raise taxes. and nationalize health care. and manage my social security savings for me, And promise citizenship for all (p42 of 43), and underestimate the threat of Islamic fascists.

The Republicans are complicit in the whole mess too. 6 years controlling the Legislative and Executive branches and spending skyrocketed, illegal immigration proliferated, and executive authority was stretched it's constitutional bounds. The war on terror was fought with proper vigor, but the result is less than ideal. The only thing that they got right was cutting taxes.

What are the options for a true conservative?

hypocritical bastards. Clinton fired all the Federal attorneys.

Then according to this 2001 press release all the Clinton appointees resigned and the Bush administration made wholesale changes in the 93 US Attorneys.

So these 8 prosecutors involved in this controversy get hired by the Bush Administration and now they can't' be fired? What sense does that make? If I am the chief executive of a company, and some of my employees are not doing things the way I would like, they're gone.

It is perfectly within the Chief Executive's power to see that his team faithfully execute the laws of the Federal government. Alberto Gonzales was acting on this authority.

This is a political witch-hunt perpetrated by a party that has no real ideas other than 'we hate Bush'. The Scooter Libby trial is over and they are desperate for a new Bush "scandal". I am afraid Alberto is going down for now good reason.

This man is far in opposition to my conservative small government principles, but I like what he says about personal responsibility and acheivment. I wish he was a conservative.

He's made us in His image and we reject the notion that we will for the rest of our lives be confined to a station of inferiority, that we can't aspire to the highest of heights, that our talents can't be expressed to their fullest.

It is because they marched that I got the kind of education I got, a law degree, a seat in the Illinois senate and ultimately in the United States senate.

if parents don't turn off the television set when the child comes home from school and make sure they sit down and do their homework and go talk to the teachers and find out how they're doing, and if we don't start instilling a sense in our young children that there is nothing to be ashamed about in educational achievement, I don't know who taught them that reading and writing and conjugating your verbs was something white.

if cousin Pookie would vote, get off the couch and register some folks and go to the polls, we might have a different kind of politics. That's what the Moses generation teaches us. Take off your bedroom slippers. Put on your marching shoes. Go do some politics. Change this country!
